Power. Sand. Water. Shale Is More Than Oil And Gas…

It was great to see many of our readers today in the Woodlands at the frac conference.

As we hit the road to go back and think about what we’ve learned, we wanted to flag four upcoming industry events that we’ll be at and you should be at.

The Oil and Gas industry is much more than just hydrocarbons, and these four key industry gatherings are worth your time and sponsorship because the visibility they deliver in critical path oilfield niches is second to none…

See you at the next event!

Frac Sand And Logistics – March 2026. On March 24th in Houston, our team will be speaking at the Petroleum Connection’s 11th Annual Frac Sand Industry Update. This is a solid one-day event to get up to speed on frac sand and network with the industry’s biggest names. See details and registration here>

Produced Water – May 2026. Conoco’s head of Permian recently said in Midland that water is his top priority. The 6th Annual Oilfield Water Markets Conference will take place on May 5-6, 2026, at the Irving Convention Center. Senior executives will gather there to discuss critical action items in Lower 48 produced water, including business model evolution, competitive landscape, capital, regulations, infrastructure trends, and future risks and opportunities. Delegates will include top E&Ps, water midstream professionals, water service and logistics providers, equipment suppliers, data providers, investors, regulators, landowners, and other stakeholders in the oilfield water marketplace. Permian Power – June 2026. Data centers, strained grids, and oilfield electrification trends in the Permian are creating unprecedented demand for co-located, behind-the-meter power generation. Multiple OFS firms see solving power bottlenecks as an opportunity and are opening power divisions. The Permian was the birthplace of the distributed energy resource business model, and this year the Permian Power Connection in June is expected to draw 800+ attendees. They’ll have the biggest names in power there with an expanded expo and great agenda. See details and registration here>

Marcellus Power – October 2026. The Mid-Atlantic/Northeast, nicknamed “Data Center Alley,” will experience much of the explosive power demand growth that AI trends are driving. Yet the region’s PJM grid is already critically strained, with mounting warnings of imminent rolling blackouts during peak demand. Long grid interconnection queues and curtailment risk are forcing power procurement teams with urgent time-to-power deadlines to reevaluate grid-reliant vs. off-grid / behind-the-meter solutions. This is creating a generational opportunity now for scalable, behind-the-meter generation — not just to supply AI hyperscalers, but also for other power-hungry sectors like advanced manufacturing, critical infrastructure, and shale operations. This October, a first-of-a-kind event will gather the Marcellus’s power players, providers, and customers to discuss building the northeast electric power stack of the future.
