Last week, we published a current snapshot of the Permian Basin sand picture which subscribers can download in excel.

This is an accurate snapshot of “known” future in-basin mines; however, we encourage readers to remain vigilant and not get too comfortable with any analyst’s estimates of planned in-basin capacity just yet.

For one thing, it’s impossible to say which sites will ultimately produce near nameplate capacity just yet. For another thing, there are more sites coming soon.

In this update, we share with subscribers what our channel checks have revealed about some big pending capacity additions that most folks aren’t aware of yet. And we offer some thoughts on the impending thinning of the herd…
